I live in southern Vermont with my husband (Shane), children (Teagan and Soren), chickens, and our 30 lb. cat (Fleetwood). All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind and handmade here at home. I enjoy creating functional pieces of art that can be used and loved every day.
I started making pottery after Soren was diagnosed with Leukemia. I needed an escape from the medications, appointments, and heartache. Pottery has been an experience of patience, experimentation, and humility.
We found a cluster of Chicken of the Woods mushrooms this summer and went back to that spot almost every day for weeks. That was a special time and the name "Pottery of the Woods" fits where we live and what I love.
